Patricia Tsoiasue

I teach Makerspace Skills and Brand Development. I introduce individuals to video making for YouTube, in a framework of brand development. I have developed my own projects that can be used to introduce skills learning. Four of these have my focus: Historic Amusements (starting with the Long Beach Pike and the Pacific Electric Red Car); Practical MicroFactory and Supply Chain for Makers (starting with the Bunny Factory); Contraptions (for the Rube Goldberg Machine Contest) and LEGO skills learning (through 2x4 Day, a fan created global day of LEGO brick play, which I started in 2015).

My passions are making creative projects that involve skills of all sorts, and documenting the projects in videos, blogs, physical products and finding sponsors and funding to take the projects and instruction in related skills to events and classes.

I have a degree in Computer Science, and 30 years of experience in software development and engineering in the banking, aviation, aerospace and entertainment industries. 10 years of experience in developing and supporting Makerspaces.

Since 2013, I have been a student and practitioner of Problem Solving. First through LEGO(r) Serious Play then through the Creative Problem Solving methods of the Creative Problem Solving Institute (CPSI).

Outside of teaching, I develop programs, projects and curriculum in a mixed skills environment.
