Paying for classes
CHARTERS
At Trellis, we accept charter funds. If you do not see your charter listed, please contact Kim Staley at kim@trellislearning.org for support.
Please follow these instructions to make sure we are paid in a timely manner. We understand charters can be confusing, please reach out to your teacher from your charter for support, as well as Kim Staley, our charter liaison.
It is your responsibility to submit your class requests to your charter school. Once your charter school receives your request, a Purchase Order (PO) will be generated, and funds can be sent to Trellis.
Please send a request as soon as possible. Most charters do not pay for classes that have already taken place prior to your request, so you will be responsible for the classes your students have taken prior to your submission to your charter.
*Please be advised:
You are ultimately responsible for the cost of all classes; if your charter funds do not go through, you will be charged for the classes.
If you do not have enough charter funds to pay for all your classes, you can pay out of pocket for the remaining amount. If a payment plan is needed, we can accommodate it.
OUT-OF-POCKET
We accept credit payments through our website. There are different options for out of pocket payments, including paying in full and payment plans.
FINANCIAL HARDSHIP
If you would like to be a part of Trellis and may need assistance, please contact us at info@trellislearning.org, and we can discuss this with your family. These are viewed on a case-by-case basis.

Medical Needs
If your student requires specific medication that must be administered during school hours, please contact us at info@trellislerning.org and we will provide a waiver to be filled out and connect you and your student with a specific staff member that will oversee and support your student and their medication. Their medicine will also be stored in a safe place that will be discussed with you and your student.
Lockdown Policies
In the case of a public safety concern where our campus will be on lockdown, we ask that families keep the Remind app (information on the Remind app can be found under Communication) readily available as the majority of communication will come through there. If needed, we will also reach out to families individually to coordinate. In a lockdown situation, we will be working with local police officials to ensure the safety of your students and our staff.
Natural Disaster Policies
In the case of a natural disaster, Trellis has resources on campus to ensure basic needs can be met, including food, water, and first aid. We know that you all will want to get to your student(s) as soon as possible but please know in the case of an emergency, your students are safe until you can reach them.
Smoking, alcohol and drug use
All types and manners of smoking, alcohol, and drug use, including vape pens, are strictly prohibited on the Trellis campus during operating hours. We also ask that no one smokes or vapes within 250 feet of our campus.
Weapons/firearms
Trellis is a weapon and gun free facility. Any non-compliance with our policy will constitute an immediate removal from Trellis.
Life at Trellis
At Trellis we strive to be a brave space for all that enter our doors. We want all students and their families to feel welcomed. We accept all students from all backgrounds, all beliefs, and all spectrums of neurodiversity and the rainbow. We do not discriminate against any group of people and ask our families to align with that belief as well.
We understand in community and in learning, there can be disagreements and misalignments of ideas. We welcome productive conversation but ask that this is all done with respect. All students are asked to show respect to our staff and listen as best they can. Please let your students know that our staff has their safety in mind. If conflicts arise that become too big for your student, please reach out to us, and we will work on mediating a resolution. If your student is having a difficult time navigating a situation and their behavior becomes disruptive/disrespectful in class, Trellis will work with the teacher, your student, and yourself to figure out a solution. If behavior continues and learning is impeded, further support may be required from the family. Finally, if behaviors still continue, removal from Trellis will be discussed.
